Sangeetha Rosemarie Rajeesh, Leveraging Agriculture for Nutrition in South Asia (LANSA) Consortium, India

Leveraging Agriculture for Nutrition in South (LANSA) is an international research partnership exploring how agriculture and agri-food systems can be better designed to advance nutrition. We are focused on policies, interventions and strategies that can improve the nutritional status of children in South Asia. A key element of the programme is ensuring that our research findings inform policy and programmes, thereby increasing the impact of our work. This uptake of our research is achieved through a number of innovative pathways all aiming to increase evidence based decision making around agriculture and nutrition. In this interactive session, we will present and critically discuss a range of uptake and policy influence methods used by LANSA. The group will learn about the different principles of research uptake and explore how different approaches engage different audiences. Participants should leave the session with a greater understanding of ways to improve the impact of research and influence policy.
